Ceramic pouring and filtering cups SMAM are used for investment casting technology. They are made of high – quality ceramic materials and pressed at high pressure. They are fit for casting ferrous as well as non – ferrous metals, withstand the most strenuous conditions within superalloys casting for IGT and aircraft industry. Ceramic pouring and filtering cups SMAM are based on mullite composition.

Ceramic cups are placed directly on wax gating system before coating and become a part of the ceramic shell mould. Pressed or milled grooves improve cohesion of the ceramic shell and the cup. Their quantity and depth depend on the size and type of cup.

These designs are particularly suitable for the coating mixtures based on zircon, mullite and molochite. For other types of coating mixtures, we recommend consulting the shape and size of the grooves in advance with LANIK sales and technical staff.
